Back in March I was growing very disheartened with how sluggish and beat I was feeling all of the time. I could not keep up with my work life and I certainly was too beat by the end of my work day to enjoy my time spent with my wife and son. But at the end of March, on a family trip, I saw Striiv in the Sky Mall catalog and it instantly sounded appealing. I ordered one for myself while on the trip and pretty much by the time we got home, it was waiting for me. Just over …

I had tried pedometers and other devices before with limited success. Striiv has been different because of the motivation it gives me. It is not just a step calculator; it sends me challenges, gives me encouragement, and is a little personal trainer in my pocket. I don’t know why it has taken control of me, but if I sit down and it asks me to exercise for 3 more minutes…I …

As spring arrives with sunshine and warm weather, I am thrilled that Holy Family Regional School in Rochester Hills, Michigan is starting a school-wide walking program. Beginning April 23rd, over 1 thousand students from all grades, kindergarten through grade eight, will have the chance to participate in a four week program during their recess. The walking program was created by the school’s Parent Teacher Group to encourage students to choose healthy and active lifestyles. Each day our students will be joined by special guest walkers from the …
