If you’re having trouble connecting your device to the app, try the following:

  • Make sure your Wifi or cellular data is turned on
  • Check that your device’s Bluetooth is turned on

In addition, you can try:

  1. Attempting to reconnect with your device plugged in and charging
  2. Force quitting the Striiv app and re-launching
  3. Turning Bluetooth off and on
  4. Restarting your phone

Put your device in sleep mode from your wrist:

  1. Swipe to the ‘Apps’ screen and tap the moon icon. You will see: exit_sleep_screen.png
  2. Tap the ‘check’ icon to start sleep mode.
  3. To turn sleep mode off, double-tap the side of the screen to reveal the sleep timer.
  4. Swipe the screen to see: enter_sleep_screen.png
  5. Tap the icon to exit sleep mode.

Forget to turn sleep mode off after waking up? Your device is programmed to automatically exit sleep mode after walking approximately 200 steps.

After pairing your device, tap the device tile on the home screen to access the notification options.

There can be some friction between the clasp and the wristband the first few times you wear it. Dip the band in water to loosen up the material for easier closing. Check out this video demo and try it for yourself.

Wake up your device by double tapping the side of the screen:

  1. Double-tapping: Quickly tap the side of the screen twice to turn it on. If it doesn't seem like it's responding, wait 5 seconds and try again.

Your device responds to several different gestures:

  2. Swiping: Use a swiping motion with your finger to scroll through the different screens. Swiping can be performed in both directions.
  3. Single-tapping: Select the various icons and actions displayed on your device by tapping them.

Battery life can vary depending on your usage. If you feel your battery life is not lasting as expected, try the following steps:

  1. Clean your wristband: Use a toothbrush and some rubbing alcohol to clean the gold, charging contacts (the small circles) on the back of your device.
  2. Perform a “factory reset”: Turn on the device, scroll to Apps > Settings (gear icon) > Factory Reset? You will then need to re-pair your device to your phone/tablet.

Note: A low battery warning displays when your device charge falls to 20%, but this typically represents about a full day of usage remaining.

Set your goals through the app with these steps:

  1. Go to the main menu by selecting the ‘menu’ icon: .
  2. Select ‘Goals’.
  3. Select the goal value you’d like to change.
  4. Enter a new goal value and select ‘Done’.

Devices with heart rate monitoring capabilities can measure both your active and resting heart rates.

Active heart rate measurements can be taken manually by navigating to the heart icon on the device itself. Follow the on-screen instructions to view your current, active heart rate.

Resting heart rate values are taken passively throughout the day by the device – you don’t have to do anything to measure this. The heart tile displayed on the app homescreen (on your mobile device) shows your resting heart rate.

Note: Resting heart rates are calculated from measurements taken the previous day, so your resting heart rate for today will be available tomorrow.
