If you are having problems connecting your device to your app, please try the following. Make sure:

  • Your WIFI or cellular data is on
  • Your Bluetooth is on

Try the following:

  1. Plug the device into charge, then try to connect
  2. Force quit the Striiv app
  3. Turn bluetooth off and on
  4. Restart your phone
  5. Log out and log back into the Striiv account - the log out function is under user settings

After you pair your device, tap on the gear icon on the gray device banner at the top of the app home screen to access notification options.

iOS: Within your phone/tablet settings, select Bluetooth. Under ‘devices’ you should see your device ID (20 characters, starting with H). If it says ‘not connected’, forget the device in Bluetooth settings by selecting the "i" next to the connection status. Then force quit and restart the Striiv app on your phone/tablet to reconnect the device via double tapping the display with the app open.

Android 6.0 and up: Within your phone/tablet settings, navigate to location services settings and enable location services for the Striiv app. This is a requirement Android-wide starting with version 6.0 (Marshmallow) in order for smartwatch features (notifications display, vibrating alarms etc.) to function.

For Fusion 2 and Bio 2 users:

You no longer need to manually turn sleep on and off — your tracker now has auto sleep detection! Simply wear your tracker to bed and when you wake up, open the Striiv app and double tap your tracker to sync your data.

To view recorded sleep, select the sleep tile (shows a moon) on the Striiv app home screen to view the daily sleep charts. To change the date view to a hourly view (and take a closer look at tracked sleep in further detail), tap the "HR" option at the top of the graph. Tapping on specific sleep segments on the hourly chart will show the duration and start/stop times of that segment.

For Touch, Fusion Lite, Fusion, and Fusion Bio users:

To put your device in sleep mode there are two options:

From the app:

  1. Sync with the app (double tap the device), then tap on the gear icon on the gray device banner at the top of the app home screen to access the sleep mode bar at the top of the screen.
  2. Tap the toggle button on the blue sleep mode bar to start the clock.
  3. Once you wake up, sync your device again (double-tap) and tap the toggle button on the sleep mode bar to stop tracking.

From your device:

  1. Swipe to the left of the time/date and battery % screen, then tap to select the ‘apps’
  2. Tap on the moon icon. You will see this screen: exit_sleep_screen.png
  3. Tap on the check mark to start sleep mode.
  4. When you want to turn sleep mode off, double-tap the screen and you will see a sleep timer.
  5. Swipe the screen to the right, and tap the following icon: enter_sleep_screen.png
  6. Tap the icon to exit sleep mode.

Did you forget to turn sleep mode off? That’s why we programmed your device to automatically exit sleep mode once you walk more than 200 steps.

Sometimes there can be a lot of friction between the clasp and the wristband the first few times you use it. Don't reach for the vice grips though- reach for a glass of water!

Just a little dip in water, and the friction disappears! It's ok if you don't believe us, try it for yourself.

Double-tap the side of your device to turn it on (Having trouble? Hold your wrist still for 5 seconds before trying again.)

Displaying striiv.com/start and battery % when plugged in to charge? Your device is in pairing mode and must be re-paired with the app by selecting the (Pair) Device option in the app menu. The device will not turn on when unplugged from charge until it has been successfully paired with the app.

Not turning on when plugged into charge? Try the following in the order given:

  1. (If using Bio2/Fusion2, skip this step) Paperclip reset the device using the reset button located on the back of the charging cradle with the device plugged in and charging.
  2. Use a different micro usb cord to charge the device.
  3. Clean the gold charging contacts on the back of the device using rubbing alcohol and a brush (e.g. old toothbrushes). If there is any gunk or dirt on these contacts, you will have issues charging the device. The contacts should be a shiny gold in appearance.
  4. Use alternate charging sources (wall outlet v.s. computer usb port).
  5. Finally, if the device has been paired with the app, tap the gear icon on the device banner (gray in color) at the top of the app home screen, then scroll down to select de-register device and follow the prompts to do so. This will require you to re-pair the device with the app.

Your device responds to several different finger motions:

  1. Double-tap the side of your device to turn it on (Having trouble? Hold your wrist still for 5 seconds before trying again.)
  2. Swipe the screen to scroll through different screens. You can swipe in both directions.
  3. Tap to select.

Battery life varies greatly depending on usage - the more the screen turns on, the faster the battery will drain. If you feel your battery isn’t lasting as long as it usually does, try the following:

  1. Clean the charging contacts: use a toothbrush and rubbing alcohol to clean the 4 small, gold charging contacts on the back of the device. Even if your device charges to 100%, dirty charging contacts will result in reduced battery life due to improper charging.
  2. Factory reset the device (erases all data stored on device, so be sure to sync with the app before following these steps): turn on the device and swipe to the left of the time/date and battery % screens to select 'apps' > 'settings' > swipe to 'factory reset'

Note: A low battery warning triggers on the device when battery charge reaches 20% - this typically means the device has about a full day of usage remaining.

Your wristband is one size fits all, but if you wish to trim off the excess, you can do so with a sharp pair of scissors.

We recommend cutting off one section at a time though - once you cut your wristband you can’t make it any longer!

To change your goals:

  1. From the Striiv app home screen tap on the 'Menu'.
  2. Tap on 'Goals'.
  3. Tap on the goal you wish to change.
  4. Enter the new value, then press 'Done'.

Devices with heart rate monitoring capabilities can measure both your active and resting heart rates.

Active heart rate measurements can be taken manually by navigating to the heart icon on the device itself, or if you’re using the Bio2, continuous heart rate measurements are taken automatically with the continuous heart rate setting “on” under device settings - visible when the gear icon on the gray device banner at the top of the app home screen is tapped.

Resting heart rate is taken automatically as well, after roughly 15 minutes of non-activity (no registered movement).

The heart rate tile on the app home screen displays current heart rate, whether it’s a daily average of resting heart rate measurements or an active (continuous) heart rate measurement.

Note: Resting heart rate averages are calculated using measurements taken the previous day, so resting heart rate for today would be available tomorrow.
